About Our Theatre
The Ladue School District envisioned a state-of-the-art high school performing arts center that would serve the community. The existing theatre was renovated in 2008 into a versatile venue to accommodate the needs of theatre, music programs, and more.
Our proscenium theatre holds 750 seats (including a 100+ seat mezzanine), with clean sight lines from almost anywhere in the audience. The drama department, music department, and renters benefit from our attractive, cost-effective sound and lighting solutions that vastly improve the aesthetics of any performance or event we host. A balcony, two catwalks, a lighting booth, a sound-mixing station and a fly loft above the stage enable hands-on training for theatre students and a flexible venue for all events. Our sound board is an Allen & Heath GL2400 and our light board is an ETC Ion.
We also have a black box that has over 150 seats available that can be used for a variety of events. We have hosted concerts, plays, and more in it. The black box theatre enables student actors to engage the audience in a more intimate setting and provides a more casual concert or event space.
Also added was a collegiate-style lobby that doubles as an art exhibition space. It was designed to bring in sunlight during the day and project the interior lighting outside after dusk.
For further information or to rent the space, contact the Ladue Activities coordinators.
