About Our Theatre
The Ladue School District envisioned a state-of-the-art high school performing arts center that would serve the community. The existing theatre was transformed into a versatile venue to accommodate the needs of dance, theatre and orchestra.
The renovated and expanded proscenium theatre was transformed from a typical high school auditorium. It now holds 750 seats and provides theatrical lighting with attractive, cost-effective acoustic solutions that vastly improve the performance capabilities of the drama department and theater troupe. A balcony, two new catwalks, a new lighting booth, a sound-mixing station and a fly loft above the stage enable hands-on training for theatre students. The selected finishes are aesthetically pleasing and easy to maintain.
We also have a black box that has over 150 seats available that can be used for a variety of events. We have hosted concerts, plays, and more in it. The black-box theatre enables student actors to engage the audience in a more intimate setting.
Also added was a collegiate-style lobby that doubles as an art exhibition space. It was designed to bring in sunlight during the day and project the interior lighting outside after dusk.
For further information or to rent the space, contact Kurt Knoedelseder.
Our program is an amazing program with a variety of students participating in multiple aspects of our productions. We have 3 shows each year. In the fall we host a play, in the early spring we have a musical, then in early May we have our seniors showcase their One Acts as a part of our program. More information about our shows can be found on the productions tab on the top of the page.
